When you own a car you have to do routine maintenance to take care of it. Such maintenance as oil changes, brake pad replacements, fluid flushing, and tire rotation are known issues that are taken care of regularly, but what about something as simple as the AC filter? Does that need to be replaced?
The simple answer is: yes. If you turn on your air conditioner or heater to full blast and don't feel a lot of air coming out, but hear a lot of noise, then your filter may be clogged with dirt and debris and need to be changed. If you have noticed a musty smell coming from the vents in your vehicle, but didn't know where it was coming from, it may be your cabin air filter.
How do you change your AC filter?
Most AC filters are hidden behind your glove box, but some are in a harder to reach place, like under the dashboard. You can change the AC filter by yourself (you can purchase a replacement at our parts department) or you can let our technicians take care of it for you. It is a simple procedure that won't take very long, but it will help your air conditioner and heater out tremendously.
