Your tires are one of the most important parts of your car. The tires keep the car balanced and level and allow you to make turns. The front tires of your vehicle sustain more tread wear than the tires in the rear, since the tires in front are the first to feel the impact when you pump the brakes or make a sharp turn.

Tire rotation takes some of the pressure off your front tires by taking the two rear tires and switching them with the tires in front. After a few rotations, however, you'll need to get all of your tires replaced.

You can also keep your tires in great shape by having them inspected when you take your car in for a tuneup. Be sure that your mechanic checks your tires for holes and openings that can lead to tire deflation. If you have to get a tire or two replaced, be sure that the new tires are the right fit for your vehicle, so you can use them efficiently while staying safe on the road.
